Any school is only as good as it’s teachers. With “international” schools mushrooming, it is difficult to find good teachers that have the right training for teaching in an international school.

Many schools state that they provide their own teacher-training. I would research and ask questions to the school about how many teachers have been trained, and what kind of qualifications do they have. Also, what the “training” involves. There is no point in sending your child to an “International” school, just to have a teacher who is deeply traditional in her teaching methods.

The “Best” IB schools in Pune are two. They are the Mercedes-Benz International School and the Mahindra United World College.

UPDATE on August 3, 2011:

I have recently heard the Victorious Kidss is also an IB school, and have heard excellent things about it.  Currently they are located near Empress Gardens, but will soon be moving to their new campus in Kharadi.  I don’t have any more details…if you do please share them. Thanks.

  3. Dear all,

Today i have got to speak to two parents of Vkidss who are looking at shifting soon. Two reasons for that-

20% hike in the fees since the school is moving to new premises & school has asked for 50000/- per parent as building development fund which wud be eventually adjusted against the fees.

    ?????
