Flipkart: Excellent online bookstore. Great collection. Even have option for Cash-on-Delivery for most items.
Landmark: Can also order online. Also has many store locations. Some stores (like the one at Camp) are HUGE. Good collection. Gift certificates (Rs. 300 or more) come in a “card” form - the type with a magnetic strip, and is reloadable. The advantage being, only the amount you purchase is deducted from the card, the balance stays on it for future use.
Crossword: Many locations throughout Pune. Largest one being at ICC, Senapati Bapat Road. Gift certificates are still in a paper form, which are a little cumbersome to use….since you cannot get any “change” back if you don’t use the amount stated on the gift certificate.
Manneys: A traditional book store…one of the oldest in Pune. Located at Camp, in Clover Center. A good place to find old, rare books.
Booksathome: Online library. Books are delivered to you, and picked up as well. Still fairly new, with a growing collection. However, you can recommend books you would like to read….and they will try and get them for you.
JustBooks: Banglore based, nationwide library with a really good collection. Currently have 3 locations in Pune: Aundh, Wanowrie and Viman Nagar.
BigBooks: Online library. They seem to have a pretty good collection. They also buy your gently-used books.
British Council Library: Great collection. Also regularly hold events.
